Going to see Thomas the Train

We went to see Thomas the Train at the Orange Empire Railway Museum on November 15th with some of the cousins. It was a beautiful day! We all had the pleasure of having Thomas take us on a short train ride. There was also a gift shop, a play area and other things for the kiddos to do.

Happy Haunting!!

Halloween 2009 was a lot of fun as both boys really get into it. We did our trick-or-treating in my in-laws' neighborhood and the whole family was there.

Pumpkin Carving Party

Chris and ShanAnn were the hosts for this year's carving event. Gage chose a Batman symbol and Logan choose the Decepticon symbol from Transformers. The whole clan showed up so it was a full house plus a warm day.

Time to party!!

Both boys had their parties on the same day, October 30th. Logan's was at 9:30 and Gage's started at 10. I was not about to miss Gage's first school party nor Logan's first kindergarten party so I ran to St. Thomas and stayed until 9:55 and then quickly drove back to Gage's school. I made it just in time for Gage's class to go around the building for "Trick-or-Treating". Three year olds are way too cute!!

Logan's 1st Time at a Costume Party

Logan was invited to one of his classmate's birthday parties for October 18th. All the kiddo were instructed to wear their Halloween costumes which, of course, Logan just loved.

St. Thomas School Family Fun Day

Logan's school has an annual fund raising event called Family Fun Day. We took the boys for some fun before Jason and I had to do our work hours.

A couple more photos from Oak Glen...

Having a little fun with the pumpkins.....

Oww!!!

9.25.09 This is what happens when you roll out of your bed at 10:30 at night in a dead sleep.

Oak Glen 10/4/09

My friend Michelle and her family went with us up to Oak Glen on a cold (54 degrees) day to spend a little time outdoors. We went to an pumpkin patch and had fun picking our pumpkins. We enjoyed a lunch out, grabbed some apple and pumpkin butter, and headed on our way.

Gage's First Day of Preschool

Gage-e-buddy started at Sierra Preschool on August 11, 2009. He is going 2 full days a week and is trying to get adjusted to it. Logan went with him the first couple of weeks but now he is flying solo.

It has been a long time...

I am sorry that I have not blogged in a while. Our school year started VERY Early this year. It felt like I had just returned home from South Carolina when BOOM, time to head back to Alvord.

Fender Museum Sausage Fest

The Fender Museum in Corona holds an annual Sausage Festival and we were able to take the boys. It ended up being a family affair as my future sister-in-law ShanAnn works for the museum so my brother-in-law Chris was there. My other brother-in-law Chad was there working on the music system. Evelyn and Larry also went which is always nice. We love having the extra hands and eyes in large groups of people. We bought wrist bands for the boys which gave them the ability to go on the mini-carnival rides that were at the Festival.

Father's Day 2009

Since this is the last Sunday that Jason will have with the boys for a couple of weeks (plus it being Father's Day), Jason wanted to head out to the March Air Reserve Base's Museum. It was a perfect day for it as the breeze was blowing and it was not hot or overcast as it had been the last few days.

Playtime at Aunt Jen's House

I watched Carissa and Brandon today so that Mel could run out to LA for her business product. I have set up a craft room in the garage conversion and it was the hit of the day. I had all 4 kids in the room cutting, coloring, punching, etc. It was nice. I was able to catch up on my blog posts.

Logan's Last Day of Preschool

I cannot believe that my baby is done with preschool already. Since we are missing his graduation on the 26th of June, Gage and I took some cupcakes to his class and celebrated with his friends and teachers. He received his little graduation certificate and a big folder with books that he has made throughout the year. He is very excited about going into kindergarten at his new school, St. Thomas. Gage will be starting at the preschool August 11th. He will be going 2 days a week. It is nice because I already know the teachers and the facilities. But I am still not ready for my baby to start preschool.

Logan's Missing Tooth

My little man has lost his 1st tooth. It has been wiggly for quite some time and when he ate an apple yesterday, it came out. He was scared at first but by the time I arrived to pick him up from the sitter he couldn't wait to come home and put the tooth in his Tooth Fairy Pillow. He woke up this morning to find some golden dollar coins in it. He was very excited and wanted to go buy a toy right away.

The Dynamic Duo

Gage and Logan both received Batman pajamas with a cape for their respective birthdays.

BIG Bubbles

Evelyn purchased some monstrous bubble wands at the Orange County Swap Meet and the boys and adults had tons of fun with them. Several of us went back several times both before and after dinner to play with the bubbles. Do you remember that anti-smoking commercial in which everyone blew bubbles instead of lighting up a cigarette? How fun it was!!

Hunting For Eggs

We were invited to dinner at the in-law's home and had a small scale Easter egg hunt in the front year with cousin Adam. Eggs had been hidden in wheel wells, door handles and other places in the front yard. Logan and Adam asked for a repeat so Jason and Matt hid the eggs again for a second round. The joy of watching little boys get excited is contagious.
