Logan's 1st Baseball Game

Logan played in his 1st t-ball game on Saturday, March 21st. It was a riot. They played against the T-Ball Cubs and it was pretty obvious that most of the players on the opposing team had played the year before. They were bigger than most of the players on Logan's team and batted with much more skill. I will take better footage with my regular camcorder next weekend. I tried one of the new Flip Video cameras and as you can see, it did not zoom in very well. I will apologize now for the footage of when Logan hit a single. I was just as excited as he was and dropped the camera to cheer him on. The best part of the day was when Logan was in the infield and was told to stay at 2nd base. He stayed there alright, in fact he stood on it and then followed the runner to the 3rd base and then to home plate. He did this 3 times, cracking the 3rd base coach up. Coach Dan had to call Logan back and made an X in the dirt and told Logan to stay there. Poor kid.

Opening Ceremonies for Logan's Baseball League

Today was the opening ceremony for Logan's baseball league. He has been assigned to the T-ball Dodgers. All of the teams were assigned a time to come for their photos. Out team was amongst the last one to be photographed so Logan wasn't in the best mood. There were food concession stands and a bouncer and slide as well as raffle tickets. Around 3:00 all of the teams were called over to one field and the parents came and sat at another field. A priest came and blessed the season and used holy water to bless all of the players. I found out that the St. Thomas League is no longer around so a group of former players from that league formed the Christian Athletic League (CAL) 12 years ago. Here is a slide show of the day.

Happy Birthday Jason!

My wonderful husband celebrated his 35th birthday on February 28th. All of his milestone birthday's since we have been together have been taken by other events in our lives (His 30th birthday came 6 days after the birth of Logan). Since he rarely gets to see his friends (most of them live in LA), I schemed and plotted (according to him) a surprise party at BJ's Brewhouse in Ontario. I picked through his cell phone for his friends' numbers and emails and put the plan together. The day of the party he was informed that we were going on an adventure day so he kept sending Logan to ask me questions about where we were going. Yea right, Logan cannot keep a secret so he was told nothing.
The evening went off beautifully. He was very surprised at the turn out by his friends. We ate and ate and ate some more and then we went over to Dave & Busters for some more fun. It was a great night!! Happy 35th Birthday Babe!

Alright! It's genetic!

As many of you know, my husband is big into computer gaming. I was told one day that Logan had been playing World of Warcraft and there was photographic evidence to prove it. Geez! Not another one. We already have 4 computers in the house. I have my laptop, Jason has his work laptop, our personal computer and the old computer that we store our checkbook on. No more computers!!

Building Houses

I came out of our bedroom one Sunday morning and found all 3 of my boys on the floor in the living room with the bucket of Lincoln Logs spread out before them. The sight of my 6'4" husband on the floor with our babies melts my heart. I love my boys!

Happy Birthday Logan!

We celebrated Logan's 5th birthday at our home this year. As our family is getting increasingly larger, we were not able to invite our friends this year as our house is small and we never know what the weather is going to be like in February. It has rained every year on Logan's birthday (even on the day he was born) so we didn't dare try to make any outdoor plans. This year we made up a sandwich station with Aunt Jamie and Uncle Chad's help and just sat and ate and enjoyed each other's company. We were able to talk with my parents the following day via the web cam since this is the 1st birthday that they have missed.

Race Track Cake

My little peanut had his 5th birthday this last weekend. I cannot believe how quickly he has grown. As he is getting bigger, he was given the opportunity to decide the theme of his birthday party. He chose Hot Wheels. We went to a party supply store and got all things Hot Wheels for his party. I spent the next couple of days looking on-line for the cake and found one that he really liked. My best friend Carmen has been decorating cakes so she came over and helped me decorate it after I baked it and put the first frosting layer on it.

Thomas The Train Show

Our cousins, Matt and Lisa, called us to invite us to come and see the Thomas Live Show in Costa Mesa on February 8th. The set design was wonderful and the boys had a wonderful time.
