Poor baby

I walked down the hallway last night into our room around 10:00 and found this:

We had spent the afternoon at Aunt Mel's house for her birthday so he did not get to take a nap. Now mind you, we had put him into his own bed.

Max and Ruby

Our family present for Christmas 2008 was a 24 gallon saltwater fish tank. Jason had always wanted one so I thought, "Hey, what the heck". I don't think that either of us knew how hard it would be to get the tank going and established without killing everything. Here we are almost 3 months later and we were finally able to bring home our Allardi clown fish. They are a mated pair but most likely will not make babies as we have a small tank. Logan named them as one is male and the other female after his favorite cartoon by the same name. When we went to pick them up yesterday, Logan asked about one of the big fish that had been there but was now gone. The owner told us that it went to a home with a 700 GALLON Tank. This tank is 10 feet long, 4 feet wide and 4 feet tall and has to have its filtration system set up in the garage. Wow!

Handsome Devils

I love to take photos of my boys. It amazes me how they can look so different yet so alike. I took these photos before Logan's Christmas pageant and you can tell that Gage did not want to cooperate.

Christmas Day

It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Why does time have to go so quickly? My family has a tradition of having a wonderful Christmas breakfast together and then opening our gifts. We were so happy that my folks drove in for the holidays. it would not have been the same without them.

Christmas Eve

I love this day of the year. I always buy the boys special pajamas to wear on this night. We get things ready for Santa and enjoy each other. This year, Auntie Carmen stopped by after Christmas Eve mass and visited with the boys.

Gingerbread Houses

I love to give the boys time to use their hands, whether it is with paints, play-dough or other art stuff, they really enjoy themselves. (This is why my table is covered in plastic).

Christmas Festivities

When you marry into a large family, Christmas can be a very long holiday with 3-4 separate holiday events. We spent Saturday the 13th at Evelyn's house for the Van Lierop side's Christmas gathering and then the following Sunday was spent out in Hemet with Grandma Ohlheiser.

Baking Time

We have an annual tradition of baking cookies before Christmas. The baking crew has finally hit peak performance with the addition of Gage who was finally old enough to help with the sugar cookies. I put my mom in charge of the kids so that I could take the photos.

Logan's Christmas Pageant

Logan participated in his yearly Christmas pageant on December the 18th. They sang "Up on the Housetop" and "Counting Reindeers". It was way too cute to see all of the 2,3 and 4 year olds up on the stage. All of the 2 year olds who were in the front row starting crying in a chain reaction. The pictures are not of the greatest quality but it was the moment that counted.
